Google Drive
Convert your standard Google Drive shareable links into direct download links instantly.
How to use
- 1 Go to Google Drive, right-click the file you want to share, and select "Share" or "Get link".
- 2 Under General Access, change the visibility to "Anyone with the link".
- 3 Click "Copy link".
- 4 Paste that link into the text box above and click "Create Direct Link".
Important Notes
Visibility is crucial: Ensure that your file's visibility in Google Drive is set to "Anyone with the link." If it is set to "Restricted," only people logged into Google who have been explicitly granted access will be able to download it.
File Types: This tool works only for uploaded files (like PDFs, MP4s, ZIPs, images, etc.). It does not work for documents created natively in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
Large Files: If your file is very large (typically > 100MB), the direct link might first open a Google warning page stating the file is too large to scan for viruses. That page will have an "Anyway" button to proceed with the download.
