Apple iOS & macOS

Apple natively supports encrypted DNS via configuration profiles rather than typing in a raw hostname.

  • Visit your chosen provider's website.
  • Download the .mobileconfig Apple profile.
  • Go to Settings to install the downloaded profile.
  • Alternatively, use their official App Store app to enable the DNS.

Web Browsers

Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave support secure DNS (DoH) internally.

  1. Open your browser settings.
  2. Search for Secure DNS or DNS over HTTPS.
  3. Enable the feature and choose a Custom provider.
  4. Input the DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) URL corresponding to the provider.

DNS configuration applies system-wide or browser-wide. Ensure you trust the DNS provider before applying.
